March falls almost exactly in the middle of the holiday season and summer—not offering many excuses to get your shopping on. But luckily, Shop Small Astoria is giving locals the perfect opportunity to exercise their credit cards AND support local boutiques with their 3rd Annual Spring Retail Crawl–coming up this weekend, March 22-24. As you may know, Shop Small Astoria is a collective of local, independently-owned retailers. The yearly Spring Retail Crawl (which is in addition to their annual Fall Retail Crawl) has 17 participating shops that all offer special deals and discounts for shopping at multiple stores over the course of the weekend. This Friday through Sunday, if you shop at… 5 or more stores, you will be entered for a grand prize featuring gift cards from all 17 stores AND (2) tickets to any 2019 show at Forest Hills Stadium (a $500 value)! 8 or more stores, you’ll earn a Shop Small Astoria tote filled with goodies from each store and other restaurants and bars in the area A localized “passport” of sorts will help you keep track of your shopping, as pictured below. Be sure to check back in on the Facebook event page and Instagram this week to see additional promotions, giveaways and deals from the participating stores–and also from some restaurants, bars, and coffee shops that are joining in on the fun by offering discounts with proof of shopping!
