Astoria Spots Serving Up Thanksgiving Dinner This Year

Thanksgiving dinner is great in theory, when you can tuck into warm, filling favorites like turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes, but before that part, you have to cook it. Cooking your own meal is its own kind of reward, it’s true. But not for everyone.

For those of us who are less than confident in the kitchen — or just too pooped to consider cooking — there are a number of Astoria restaurants that will be serving up Thanksgiving dinner this year.

Please do be advised that if you decide to opt out of cooking this Thanksgiving, it’s wise to make reservations ASAP, because these places fill up quickly!

Bubba’s Bistro

Perfect for a Friendsgiving or a similiarly casual get-together, Bubba’s Bistro is serving up Thanksgiving dinner for only $18.95 per person. That’s turkey, biscuits, apple chutney, and two sides. It’s a pretty great deal!

The Thirsty Koala

Another affordable, relaxed option is The Thirsty Koala, which will be serving Thanksgiving dinner for $20.95 per person — add $4 if you want dessert. Here, you’ll find turkey and stuffing, potato leek soup, maple-glazed pumpkin, and more. Sorry, no kangaroo on the Thanksgiving menu.

Victory Garden Cafe

Victory Garden Cafe on Steinway offers a unique way to celebrate both in setting and cuisine. First, you get to eat in their heated, greenhouse-like garden for some scenery, and next, you get to enjoy their Greek-inspired spin on Thanksgiving dinner. $25 gets you a Greek-style stuffed turkey dinner and Greek salad, along with a la carte add-ons like calamari, sweet potato, and more.

Gastroteca Astoria

Gastroteca Astoria is offering two ways to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner: a prix fixe meal, or an a la carte one, so you can decide what works best for you.The prix fixe menu is $49.95, and includes a pasta course, porchetta or turkey as a main course, two sides, and one dessert. An additional $10 gets you unlimited house wine.

Via Vai will be serving Thanksgiving-inspired fare alongside its normal menu items this Thanksgiving, like carrot gnocchi. It’s a great place to check out if you’re not in the mood for the standard turkey-potato-green beans menu.

Akrotiri

Akrotiri will be offering some land animal options for Thanksgiving, including both turkey and pork leg, and seafood fans will have the option of grilled salmon. There will also be salmon carpaccio, roasted butternut squash bisque, and lemon potatoes. Meals are $49 per person.

Vesta

Vesta‘s Thanksgiving menu is up, and they’re offering a fairly large and diverse a la carte menu with traditional Thanksgiving and autumnal dishes like turkey with mashed potato and cranberry, but also plenty of other options including pasta, wild boar lasagna, pork shank, and cioppino for seafood lovers. There are also plenty of appetizers and sides to choose from.
