As you probably know, Astoria Park was one of five borough-wide parks chosen for major upgrades. Back in November there was a visioning session to gather suggestions from the local community—now you can hear/see a presentation by NYC Parks, based on the most exciting ideas collected at that first community meeting, on Wednesday, January 25 at 7pm. As has been the case with previous events of this sort, Bohemian Hall is the host location (29-19 24th Avenue). If you need to request accessibility accommodations, contact Joanne Amagrande by Thursday, January 19 at (718) 520-5905 or joanne.amagrande@parks.nyc.gov. Here’s the Facebook invite, too. So tell us, did you attend the November meeting? What kinds of changes for Astoria Park do you hope NYC Parks has embraced and subsequently will implement? Leave us a comment!
