Award-winning author Roxane Gay will be visiting Astoria Bookshop next month for a reading and signing of her much anticipated collection of short stories, Difficult Women. Her last visit to our beloved bookstore, in May of 2015, was a fantastic night, and this event is sure to be spectacular. It’s all going down Friday, January 13 at 7pm. This event will be ticketed, with entry only going to those who have purchased a copy of Difficult Women directly from The Astoria Bookshop. Your copy can be preordered either online or in store. A waitlist will be started once capacity has been reached. As was the case last time, there will be limited seating, and a ticket does not guarantee a seat, so the majority of attendees will be standing. (Which was completely fine; everyone who attended had a blast!) Official information about the event can be found at Astoria Bookshop’s website here. BRB, just sprinting to Astoria Bookshop to preorder my copy and reserve a spot at this event!
