We don’t know much more about the new wine bar coming to Ditmars since we last reported, except that the owners are hoping to open before the end of November.

Also, signage is up and looks stylish. What do you think that ‘O’ represents? A scale? For charcuterie and cheese? On which one could measure a ‘kilo’-gram of food?
This is an exciting opening because it’s owned by the people at Adega Wine and Spirits next door. The shop is so nice inside, is super well-reviewed online, and features so many free tastings. I have a feeling that Astoria wine lovers are going to be very happy with this place…

It’s actually a Brazilian buffet by the pound.
How would it be by the pound? A kilo is 2.2lbs
A fellow explains that “In Brazil, it’s called a “Kilo Store”, here we call them buffet restaurants.”

Oooh! I didn’t know it was being opened by the guys at Adega. That’s awesome! We love them. I miss living a block from that place.
