The event, which takes place on Sunday, May 22 from 11am-5pm at the Kaufman Studios backlot and at MoMI, gives film lovers of all ages a chance to get in on the moviemaking action. Visitors will have access to over twenty trucks and movie trailers, and will be able to check out stunt performers street fighting, stunt driving and (how cool is this!) giving high fall demos. There’s also the opportunity to see hair and makeup demos, weather effects like rain and snow, and the chance to meet film professionals to learn insider secrets. As if the day couldn’t get any more awesome, the event is completely free to attend, and MoMI admission is also free for the day! The event is presented by Museum of the Moving Image, Theatrical Teamsters Local 817, I.A.T.S.E. Local 52, and Kaufman Astoria Studios. The Kaufman Astoria Studios backlot is located on 36th St, between 34 and 35 Aves) and Museum of the Moving Image is located at 36-01 35th Ave. We wouldn’t miss it; hope to see you there!
