The paint and sip phenomenon has made its way to Astoria! The Paint Place, a BYOB spot on the Upper West Side that offers painting classes and private parties, has just opened their second location at 31-21 31st Street. But don’t sleep on this place as just a bachelorette party/girls night out venue. They’ll offer a wide variety of activities for all ages. According to a spokesperson: “In addition to the group classes, The Paint Place also offers private parties for individuals and businesses, children’s parties and mobile painting parties, where an artist comes to a location instead of a group coming to one of The Paint Place’s locations. The Paint Place also offers specialized classes such as Paint your Pet, Paint with a Partner, and Paint your Own Wineglass.” The new location recently opened their doors for classes, and their calendar can be found here. The sessions, which are guided by an experienced artist, include a blank 16×20 canvas, brushes, aprons, easels and paint and typically last two hours. All levels of artistic ability are welcome.
