On Monday, February 8, Q.E.D. is hosting what will no doubt be an engaging, interesting, and thought-provoking opportunity to get to know the important work that Big Brothers Big Sisters do in our community. This organization is big on mentoring, and are in fact the city’s largest mentoring organization. Each year they connect over 4,000 young people with adults who recognize that these kids matter, and serve as their mentors. This makes everyone’s life better. We Heart Astoria believes in their vision and have come on as a media partner for this event. So stop on by Q.E.D. on Monday from 6-8pm. Not only will you get a chance to get to know the incredible work Big Brothers Big Sisters do, but you’ll also have a chance to enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres and happy hour priced drinks ($5 wine/beer and $3 Queens Lager). Additionally, those who attend this meet & greet will get complimentary admission to the Myq Kaplan show at 8:30pm that evening. And maybe by the end of the evening, you’ll feel inspired enough to join them as a mentor yourself. Please RSVP to Mayela at mcalderon@bigsnyc.org if you are planning on going. Tell all your friends, too! We hope to see you (and all your friends) there on Monday night! Big Brothers Big Sisters Meet and Greet Monday, February 8, 6-8pm Q.E.D. | 27-16 23rd Avenue Free.
