A new hidden gem rests off the beaten path of 30th Ave in the form of Seasoned Art, a family-run art shop on 43rd Street. Just a few blocks past Queens Comfort, you’ll find this charming spot dedicated to providing Astoria with a laid-back, affordable spot to admire and purchase art. A few years ago, the Boes family (Patricia, James, Devin, and Jeanne Marie) began selling their art on the streets of our neighborhood. They took part in local fairs, events, flea markets, and exhibits, and over some time, began to build a small fan base. They opened about two months ago, and are proud to present pieces that vary in style, presentation, and form of media. As you can see from the photos, their work is rooted in nature, bursting colors, and pop culture. Next time you are taking a stroll around 30th Ave, stop in and pay them a visit!
