Lots of local favorites have recently celebrated anniversaries, including Astoria Bookshop (two years), Astoria Coffee (one year), and Judy & Punch (one year). It’s pretty awesome to watch new businesses of all kinds thriving in our community. Three additional businesses are throwing anniversary events this week, and are all cool enough to invite the public to join in the festivities. We highly recommend all of them! The Brass Owl Celebrates One-Year “Astoria-versary” The Brass Owl, an adorable Ditmars boutique selling shoes, jewelry, and accessories, is celebrating their one year anniversary in style. Starting on Sunday, September 13 at 11am, they’ll be offering 10% off and double customer loyalty points on all purchases. They’ll also be serving mimosas and candy, with our neighborhood record shop HiFI Records joining in the fun and spinning tunes all day. To make the deals even sweeter, with all purchases of $10 or more, customers will receive a free gift. The question isn’t if we’ll be there, it’s whether or not we’ll ever leave!
