Tasters will enjoy bites from Sunnyside’s most lauded restaurants, including Salt and Fat and Venturo Osteria, both recognized by Michelin as a Bib Gourmand pick for 2015. Murphy’s Lobster Grill received the award for “best appetizer” at the 2014 Queens Taste.

Many of Sunnyside’s newest restaurants are participating this year, including the neighborhood’s two new Tibetan restaurants: Tibetan Dumpling Café and Punda Tibetan Restaurant as well as Dumplings & Things, Nonna Gina Brick Oven Pizzeria, Blu Orchid and the yet-to-open Italian restaurant Soleluna. Bites and beverages will also be provided by event sponsors Associated Marketplace, Fresh n Save Marketplace, Lowery Wines and Liquors, Queens Brewery and SingleCut Brewery. Further promoting the diversity in the neighborhood, the Taste of Sunnyside will include a full lineup of performers, including a presentation from the Thalia Spanish Theatre with Danza Es- paña and flamenco dancers.

To be honest, I’ve felt restaurant-deprived since I left Astoria for Sunnyside. This might hip me to new places that will make me miss 11106 a little less.

The more Sunnyside gets better the better it gets for Astoria. It takes a bit of the “demand” and price increase rent,food, over crowded trains off of us and distributes it across different neighborhoods. So kudos to Sunnyside!

Grew up in Woodside. Love that all these new places are coming to Sunnyside to explore. This event is a chance to get a little taste of all of them.
One of the best things about living in Queens is the food! I love cooking and baking and experimenting with food. An event like this would be great to get some new cooking ideas!
I would love to win, I have been a Sunnyside resident for years but use your guides all the time when I head out to astoria to attend cool events or restaurants. I am a food at heart and used to manage a food blog called foodie on a budget. I would thoroughly enjoy the VIP experience at taste of Sunnyside and sample the amazing food Sunnyside has to offer as well as trying new places I haven’t tried before in Sunnyside. I think this event is a great way of bringing the communitu together.
I LOVE SUNNYSIDE!! I have lived there for 10 years and love to support all the local eateries! I think this would be a fun event to attend and a way to sample them all at once!
