Featuring tap takeovers, beer pairing dinners, and drink specials, there’s something for every beer connoisseur in the neighborhood.

The celebration of all things malty and hoppy begins with two special events. On Friday at 6pm, the LIC Beer Project will have their big premiere at Crescent and Vine. LIC Beer Project is NYC’s  newest brewery, priding themselves on creating some of the highest quality Belgian-inspired beer on the East Coast. The premiere event will give guests the chance to sample the brews, meet the brewers, and get the #QBW2015 party started in style.

Also on Friday, the Barrier/Singelcut QBW IPA will debut at Judy and Punch at 7pm. This is a special mash-up event, brought to us by Long Island’s Barrier Brewing and Astoria’s neighborhood favorite Singlecut Beersmiths. The two breweries created their own unique IPAs, and then blended and dry-hopped their creations together for a Queens Beer Week special. All three brews will be available at Judy and Punch to jump start a week of supporting the Queens beer scene.

A full list of events can be found here. (I’m especially in love with Queens Kickshaw’s Beer Week Dinner event on Wednesday, May 13.)

Astoria participants in Queens Beer Week include:

Fatty’s Cafe

Bowery Bay

The Queens Kickshaw

Judy and Punch

Astoria Bier and Cheese

Oliver’s Astoria

Singlecut Beersmiths

Sparrow Tavern

Sunswick 35/35

60 Beans

Rest-Au-Rant & Rockaway Brewing

So many options, so little time! Sorta feels like Christmas in May, doesn’t it? Keep an eye on the Queens Beer Week Website, Facebook, and Twitter for more updates, and be sure to use the hashtag #QBW2015 while you’re enjoying your beverages.

Cheers!
