If you’re looking for family-friendly activities this summer, no need to travel outside the neighborhood! The office of Councilman Costas Constantinides has announced two upcoming all-ages events for Astorians both young and old.

The first is the International Cultural Fest, which will be held Saturday May 30 at the Astoria Park Terrace Pool. The event will run from 12pm to 5pm and will feature music and dance from all over the world. With a neighborhood as diverse as Astoria, this is bound to be a treat! The second is The Little Orchestra Society‘s presentation of percussion concert Things That Go Bang! on Tuesday, June 9 at IS 10 Horace Greeley Middle School. Although geared towards young ears, (ages 3-7) all are welcome and no reservations are required. This event will run from 6:30-7:30pm. If you have young aspiring percussionists, or even just little ones who enjoy making a racket with pots and pans, they will be delighted to clap and stomp along to the beat.
