We’ve told you about two new bars coming to 23rd Avenue, one (name TBD) from the folks behind the Sparrow Tavern and one, called The Bonnie, from folks behind Sweet Afton. These new businesses are going to be major for the avenue, and we are very excited about both.

In the past week they’ve revealed their new street side looks—The Bonnie removed its green plywood to reveal a clean, white and brick storefront, whereas the other storefront (the old Black Rock Bar) has been painted dark brown and black. Here are a couple of snaps of their looks from the street.

First, The Bonnie (29-12 23rd Ave):

And the mystery named spot (27-20 23rd Ave):

The painting over of the awning seems like a big deal and a sign that things really are moving along.

We can’t to hear more about what’s going to go on inside these places, and we’ll bring you those details when we get them.
