Dear Friends,
It has been an amazing ride so it is with heavy hearts that we announce Veslo will be closing our doors for good on Sunday, July 13th.
We would like to thank all of our wonderful patrons – many of which are now like family – for the privilege of serving you for the past four and a half years. Our doors may be closing but the memories and friends made at Veslo will last a lifetime.
Thank you,
Mirela & Davor Rosini
They have a number of events scheduled before they close, too, including a World Cup Final event on their own final day:
Friday, June 27—Croatian Karaoke
Saturday, June 28—Veslo Fešta
Saturday, July 5—Dinner with Live Music TBA
Friday, July 11—Final Karaoke
Saturday, July 12—Farewell to Veslo
Sunday, July 13—World Cup Final & Closing Day
Farewell, Veslo. Thanks for contributing to the vibrant Astoria dining scene for the past two and a half years! Folks, if you’ve been meaning to check out Veslo, this would be the time to do so.

I’m Croatian and the food tasted as good as my aunt’s on a summer night in Zadar, Croatia. How anyone could say it’s mediocre, I don’t know. I’m very sad that closed.
Sorry to hear… But will not miss them just the same. food was overpriced and mediocre at best.
Great restaurant. Their grilled octopus was one of the best meals ever.
Darn that was a cute spot. Any one have the gossip on why they are closing??
