So it’s official, the new bar will be called Bowery Bay!
For most people, The Bowery makes Manhattan come to mind but The Bowery Bay just north of our bar has a rich history, including the humongous Gala Amusement Park (Think a gigantic Coney Island).
Curious about the history of Bowery Bay? Here’s a Forgotten NY article about it (they really know their stuff). Here’s a cool map of the area, and you can see the location of Bowery Bay on the upper right (click to enlarge). It comes from a book published in 1913.

Good luck with the renovations, guys! We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
