Looks like the cafe will be 30-04 30th St. near Trade Fair and the Verizon store. According to their announcement, we should expect their grand opening sometime around June. More from their announcement: Hi everyone, thanks again for signing up for our email list and for being a part of this exciting time. We wanted you to be among the first to know that we signed a lease recently for a space to open our coffee shop near the corner of 30th Ave and 30th St. It doesn’t come up in Google Maps yet but our address is 30-04 30th St, the space next to the Verizon store. It’s the one with tall ceilings and windows and purple paint on the columns. If you’re nearby, take a peek in! If you want to check out the inside, let me know and I’d be happy to show it to you. Who’s excited to have coffee on 30th Ave.? We’ll be sure to share new updates as we have them! Because I’ll take four. Reply Dennis March 11th, 2014 Thanks everyone for the positive comments. I wanted to reply to every single one but looks like I’m prevented from posting too much in a given period of time. So again, a BIG thank you to all of you! Reply John March 11th, 2014 Nice! Good to have more cofee options on that side of 31st St. since there really Isn’t anything around there except for Bakeway and the Italian pastry shop. Hope you have plenty of seating and tables outside!! OK maybe I’m asking for too much, but it’s 60 degrees today!! Reply c March 11th, 2014 awesome, i’m moving down the block…congrats and thank you. Reply Julianne March 11th, 2014 Right by home. This will definitely be dangerous, in the best possible way. Reply Dennis March 11th, 2014 Hi Julianne, we’ll be looking forward to meeting you! Reply Evan March 10th, 2014 I live one block away. If you have vegan options, like REAL vegan options, I’ll be there all the time, as will my husband and best friends who live in my building. So just saying… =) Reply Dennis March 11th, 2014 Hi Evan, I’m Dennis with Astoria Coffee. What would real vegan be re: sandwiches / baked goods / pastries? Thanks! Reply Evan March 12th, 2014 Hey Dennis! Yea exactly. Vegan pastries/baked goods are awesome. If you had vegan food options that would be awesome as well. Even just being a place that reliably has coffee/latte/etc options that are made with almond milk or soy milk would make me a regular. I’m not sure if you know Blue Dog Kitchen on 25th Street by 6th Ave in Manhattan but they have a good mix of vegan options on their menu. So I know if I want a vegan chocolate chip cookie or lemon loaf or sandwich they’re a go-to option, even though they’re not an exclusive vegan place. Hope that helps! Reply Dennis March 13th, 2014 Hi Evan, thanks for the reply. One thing I can tell you, we’re planning on carrying almond milk! Reply Jen March 10th, 2014 Astoria coffee is amazing! They provide beans to Snowdonia and the coffee there rocks! Reply C.B. March 10th, 2014 Go Dennis!! Reply Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
