Have you heard the big news? Long-time Ditmars staple Fatty’s Cafe is headed to 28th Avenue! When the Fatty’s crew learned over the summer that the building’s owners planned to (…)
Have you heard the big news? Long-time Ditmars staple Fatty’s Cafe is headed to 28th Avenue!
When the Fatty’s crew learned over the summer that the building’s owners planned to convert their space into a pharmacy, they jumped into action and took over the old Stove space at 45-17 28th Avenue. Look for a much larger Fatty’s- they’ll be growing from 600 sq. ft. to over 1,600 sq. ft. Backyard aficionados, fear not, there’s a back yard space they’ll be “Fatty-ing up,” transforming it into an island getaway space just like their current 28th Ave. home.
Look for the new Fatty’s in early January 2014. Until then, you can still catch all their great food and drink at their Ditmars location until they close at the end of December. We’ll keep you posted on closing & opening parties when they happen.

Update: Fear not, Crescent & Vine won’t be going anywhere. Though this spacehas the same landlord at Fatty’s, they won’t be closing or moving.
This is awesome…that area is perfect!…it has some Old Astoria (ie Piccolc Venezia) & Plenty of New (ie Maxx & De Mole)
As an update, their closing day was Sunday, December 22nd. It’s sad to pass by and see the gates rolled down. Why did they have to move so far? I hope they’re able to keep their clientele, if not get new ones.

Ugh that’s almost Woodside! Oh well plenty of other spots on Ditmars now and opening up.
Maybe rather than bringing the crew they can find competent staff member that serve what you order.
Does anyone know if Crescent & Vine is staying at that location next door?
