We’re particularly excited to start off with Bareburger! At We Heart Astoria, we’re all big fans of the food there. My favorite meal is the Classic Bareburger (beef), fries, and a chocolate peanut butter shake. So delicious! We also love the space, which is very comfortable. The use of repurposed materials really appeals to me, too. For this first giveaway we have a $50 gift card from Bareburger (31st Ave location only) to share, which should be enough for a seriously fun food fest there for you and a couple of friends. To enter, just tell us in the comments what your favorite menu item is at Bareburger – is it a burger? The onion rings? Perhaps one of their salads? Their delicious shakes? We want to know! One comment per person, please. You have until Thursday to play – we’ll announce the winner on Friday, 12/9. Good luck! Faith December 8th, 2011 onion riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiings. and a shake. and the lamb burger. Harris Graber December 8th, 2011 My favorite is the Portabella sandwich. It helps me feel virtuous about keeping my cholesterol level down. You can’t go wrong with an order of fries. They’re good. Marija December 8th, 2011 Its so hard to choose! I usually get the bacon cheeseburger, but the egg sandwich is also surprisingly yummy and a great price. The service at Bare Burger is also tops! The only thing I don’t like is the tv screens which are hard to avoid. Felix December 8th, 2011 Bacon Bleu burger with Ostrich, medium rare 50/50 half fries & onion rings Peanut butter & chocolate milkshake Oh damn. I’m hungry now Ali December 8th, 2011 No Bareburger meal is complete without an order of fries and their amazing dipping sauces! My faves are pesto mayo, horseradish mayo, and whatever is in the “Bareburger special sauce!” This is seriously my favorite restaurant in Astoria and one of the best in NYC — delicious and you can feel good about what you are eating. You, animals, the environment, local farmers — everyone wins! Sara December 8th, 2011 You can’t get any better than the Lamb Mediterranean! The Peanut Butter Chocolate shake is a close second… YUM! Tara @ Chip Chip Hooray December 8th, 2011 Gotta be the Pesto Red Pepper Burger!! Amanda December 8th, 2011 The Big Blue Bacon burger with ostrich is not just the best burger at Bareburger, but it’s the best burger on the planet. I am convinced. Vanessa December 8th, 2011 I wish I could say, but I’ve recently moved to Astoria and haven’t yet tried Bare Burger! But just looking at the menu I’m going to guess it’s The Ruby. With onion rings and a chocolate shake. Beth December 7th, 2011 It’s a close contest between the avocado burger with grilled chicken and the classic bareburger – with fries and onion rings either way. Sadly, they don’t make my favorite chocolate caramel milkshake anymore. Steve December 7th, 2011 Meat. Beer. Favorites. Connie December 7th, 2011 I love their 50/50 of fries and onion rings. The sauces are amazing and my boyfriend and I love to split them. Stephanie December 7th, 2011 My favorite has to be the onion rings. Or the pickle chips…and I normally don’t even like pickles! Steph December 7th, 2011 Any burger with Ostrich! Leaves you feeling full but comfortable due to the high quality of the meat. Always with a basket of fries and dipping sauces please! Andrew Jupin December 7th, 2011 Hands down the best item at Bareburger is their fried pickles. It’s mind blowing how something so simple, so easy, is so MASSIVELY, INCREDIBLY, UNCONTROLLABLY DELICIOUS!!! Tammy December 7th, 2011 People have said it here, but I must say it with some resonance– the chocolate peanut butter milkshake is perhaps the most decadent, homemade, yet organic dessert in our amazing neighborhood! It is worth every calorie (as my friend Tracy and I like to say) and the savory flavor of the peanut butter compliments the deep chocolately taste for a sweet– but not too sweet treat! You find yourself taking the spoon and eating the fresh, natural peanut butter that’s been left on the frosty metal malt cup and crunching on the chocolate pieces on the bottom of your cup when you’re done. And it’s such a sad moment when you’re finished, because that delicious shake keeps me coming back. Let’s face it, there’s nothing like a burger and fries from Bareburger, but that shake just puts it over the top. I’m deeply committed to that shake, and I think I’ll be going back for it, as well as those homemade fries, onion rings and juicy burgers! Eva December 7th, 2011 mmmm… I LOVE the Bareburger Supreme with ostrich meat on a brioche and always accompanied with a black and white milk shake!!!delish! Megan December 7th, 2011 Easy – jalapeno veggie burger on a brioche bun with a big side order of fries/onion rings (and all the awesome sauces) and a giant banana shake. They have the best veggie burgers around bar none!! ← Previous Comments Comments are closed.
