Queens Art Express (QAX) kick off party at Kaufman Astoria Studios
Last night I attended the Queens Art Express (QAX) Kick Off Party at Kaufman Astoria Studios, and had a great time! It was really nice to run into so many friends and colleagues from Queens, and enjoy all the excitement surrounding this awesome event focusing on the arts in Queens. There was some delicious food from The Astor Room as well – I particularly liked the smoked salmon toasts.
A number of Queens luminaries gave remarks about the importance of the arts in Queens:
- Hoong Yee Lee Krakauer, Executive Director – Queens Council on the Arts
- Barbara Pryor, President of the Executive Board – Queens Council on the Arts
- Helen Marshall, Queens Borough President
- Jimmy Van Bramer, City Councilman
- Seth Bornstein, Executive Director – Queens Economic Development Corporation
