I was aware of it last year, and wondered how successful it was. Looks like it was quite so, as they are back for year two. After reading about it a little, it really does sound cool. It is billed as “the ultimate party for cheese lovers and the lovers of cheese”. Well, that sounds promising. And there’s more: It is an all you can eat affair where Chef Fromager Tia Keenan will dare to create a unique, mind blowing, cheese-based smorgasbord of food unlike anything we have seen or tasted before. Come hungry because it is all you can eat. In the words of my fellow children of the 80s, “totally rad!!” The press release also tells us that there will be a cheesemonger competition (“Cheese-O-Mania”), which is also the main event. Attendees will get to try lots of different kinds of cheese, and wash it down with refreshments from Six-Point Craft Ales. Rick’s Picks, purveyors of delicious local pickles is also a sponsor. I was pleased to see that Sullivan Street Bakery is a product sponsor, too. Tickets are $25, which is a great price for an all you can eat cheese event with Six Point and Sullivan Street bakery participating. Not to mention DJs spinning cool tunes to go with your cheese tasting. Mmm… this is definitely worth checking out.
