The Vagabond Chronicles Book Tour

Aug Stone & Brian Barganier bring ‘The Vagabond Chronicles’ book tour to Q.E.D. They’ll be read from their books, sign copies & have a Q&A.

Aug Stone & Brian Barganier are bringing ‘The Vagabond Chronicles’ book tour to Q.E.D. on Saturday October 19th at 5PM. They’ll be reading from their books, taking questions, and signing them if you like.

Aug Stone’s comedy novel began life as a James Bond pastiche and ended up its own thing entirely, and an ode to his drinking days. In ‘Off-License To Kill’, James Vagabond, star agent of Britain’s Drunken Secret Service, is sent back in time to stop U.S. Prohibition from ever happening. With help from the delectable Cherry Waters, he’s going to save America’s drinkers from a fate worse than death – enforced sobriety. But can they defeat the infamous Dr. Hoo-Nose, who has other plans for an unsuspecting 1918?

Brian Barganier’s ‘The Liquor Store Chronicles’ delves, diary-style, into his five year stint working at one of the grossest, saddest, scariest places on Earth. From crackheads burrowing in through the back wall to steal $8000 worth of liquor to dealing with customers unable to count past the number five, approaching the counter with heroin needles hanging out of their arms, or preparing to pre-game before heading to court or the DMV, “day in and day out I watched the worst of the worst dry heave through one more day”.

Aug Stone has written about music, comics, books, & film for The Quietus, Red Bull Music Academy, The Comics Journal, Under The Radar, and many more sites and mags. He performs comedy as Young Southpaw and tells stories as himself. He was the guitarist & songwriter for H Bird and The Soft Close-Ups. Check out his work at http://www.augstone.com/

Traveling all over the country, Brian Barganier’s style runs comfortably on the edge of conventional and alternative comedy. Although he is seen as being morbid or crude sometimes, Brian always manages to pull a 180 and find the funny in topics that sometimes seem almost untouchable. Along with stand up he is the host of the TV show Public Access and Chill and one of the hosts of the Bullpen Therapy Podcast. Brian released a full length CD/DVD “I’ll Regret This” (2015) produced by The Slow Mutants Productions
