Hosted by the Queensboro Dance Festival, Summer Wellness Day will feature performances and dance activities by our Queens-based dance companies, plus various medical, physical, and mental wellness and nutrition themed activities and information for families by local Woodside businesses and organizations. The goal is to promote a robust, comprehensive outdoor activation centered around physical activity and how it relates to the overall health of our minds, bodies, and souls! The Queensboro Dance Festival is an annual Queens tour of performances and community events featuring only Queens-based dance companies of diverse cultures and styles. The festival tours across Queens theaters, parks, plazas, libraries, and streets to bring high-quality local dance to various Queens neighborhoods. Running May 11 through October 6, this year’s 2019 Queensboro Dance Festival tour presents 33 Queens companies featuring Colombian, tap, Indian, hip-hop, Filipino, jazz, Greek, modern, African, Flamenco, and more!
