The LIC Reading Series brings three acclaimed authors to Long Island City, QUEENS on the second Tuesday of every month, to tell stories about Queens, read from their work, and take part in a panel discussion. All events are FREE and take place in the convenient neighborhood of Long Island City, in the carriage house of the LIC Bar (45-58 Vernon Boulevard). Audience members can win prizes donated by local Queens businesses, and authors’ books are for sale onsite from Astoria Bookshop. On June 14, 2016, we’ll have writers representing Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx: Rob Spillman (ALL TOMORROW’S PARTIES), Joe Okonkwo (JAZZ MOON), and Charlie Vázquez (CONTRABAND).
