Record Store Day (RSD)—the annual celebration of the nearly 1,400 independently owned record stores in the U.S.—comes but once a year, and lucky for us we can participate right here in Astoria. Our friendly neighborhood record store, HiFi Records & Cafe, will be open bright and early at 8 a.m. with a huge selection of limited and exclusive RSD releases.

You can see the full list here: https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialReleases.

Since there are only a select number of these titles available, it is not guaranteed that all the titles on the list will arrive. Also, depending on what time you arrive, certain picks may already be sold out.

Other deals on Record Store Day at HiFi.

Starting at 6 a.m. they’ll have The Breakfast Shack parked right out front (there will be a line, so get there early!). Or, if you come by later in the day they’ll be serving up Singlecut Beersmiths’ finest.

AND, at 1 p.m. they’ll have several local Astoria bands and up-an-coming artists playing short sets, including Better Head, Ro Fino, and Ryan Harvey featured artist in this year’s Woody Guthrie RSD title on Omnivore Recordings.

Astoria Bier & Cheese Ditmars is celebrating the release of both the new Hellboy movie and the first of six Hellboy-inspired beers from Gigantic Brewing. From 6 to 9 p.m. TONIGHT April 12 at 35-11 Ditmars Blvd.

And, Belief NYC at 2401 29th St, Astoria is having a community yard sale on both Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m. You know what they say—one Astorian’s trash is another Astorian’s treasure!
