It’s true that Astoria is full of coffee shops, but it’s also full of coffee drinkers who are always excited to have more options. Taking their name from an extinct flightless bird that looked like an emu, the shop is currently offering a number of promotions and sales, like a 10% discount for students with a valid ID. Besides the staples, like lattes, cappuccinos, and drip coffee, Moa Coffee also serves trendy drinks like matcha lattes and turmeric chai teas. For an iced option, there’s cold brew on draft, and you can even grab an iced latte to go in a can, which is pretty neat. There are also baked goods from New York-based Balthazar Bakery. Milk is sourced from local dairy farm Hudson Valley Fresh. And if dairy isn’t your thing, you can choose from almond, oat, and macadamia milks for your drinks. There’s something for everyone!
