Sportsbar with fun atmosphere and great food!

Do you also live in Queens? If so, where? How did you end up here?

Bill was born in Flushing Queens and has always loved Queens.

What made you decide to start a business in Astoria?

Astoria is a wonderful community with many wonderful people-it was very inviting!

Favorite moment since opening so far?

Every night has been so wonderful and we have had so many wonderful events it would be hard to pick: Yanks in playoffs, Mayweather fight, and UFC fights.

What’s your favorite place to grab food when you’re working?

All the restaurants and food establishments up and down 30th avenue are all of our favorites!

What’s a hidden Astoria secret you feel like people don’t know about that you absolutely love?

The PEOPLE! We love our customers they have been so welcoming and happy to be here in Astoria and at Katch!

What’s your favorite place to grab a drink?

Believe it or not, Katch, when we aren’t working its fun to sit at the bar and talk to our customers and taste many different beers and liquors.

How have you seen Astoria change since you’ve been here?

Its so much fun to see new people moving into the community and come into Katch to meet us and other customers! This change is happening every day and it is adding to the wonderful community atmosphere in Astoria.

What’s your favorite part of owning a business in Queens?

We have met so many interesting people and we have enjoyed the shops and food -it is so diverse and delicious – our teenagers are always on 30th avenue either drinking bubble tea, eating pizza, bagels and enjoying many of the offerings- this makes us so happy!
