In October, Singlecut Beersmiths hosted a smash-hit Tom Petty tribute night, benefitting Puerto Rico relief. This week, they’re back with a new night of stellar live music for a good cause.

On Wednesday, December 6th, a group of Queens musicians will pay tribute to The Band’s Last Waltz concert at the brewery, with free music starting at 8pm. Again, this is an event you can feel good about: attendees are encouraged to bring unwanted clothes and coats to donate. The event organizers are teaming up with Housing Works Inc. to ensure all donations find a great home.

The Last Waltz was the historic final concert performed by The Band on Thanksgiving 1976, alongside a legendary cast of musicians and singers including Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Patti Smith, Neil Young and more.

This week’s event features performances by the Queens Borough Musical All-Stars along with special guest appearances from local musicians including Kevin Goldhahn of The Gantry, Jay Waber of The Roys, Walter Novak of Sick Walt and more.

So here’s the plan: empty out your closet of any clothes or coats you haven’t been wearing (great excuse to clear space for all the holiday gifts you’ll be buying yourself!), bring them to Singlecut, and reward yourself with a few stellar brews and cool tunes.

For more information, check out the official Facebook event here.

See you there!
