One of the nicest parts of the holiday season each year is the variety of tree lightings. Here’s our roundup for this year—we’ll add more as we learn of them.

42nd Annual Sabba Park Holiday Lighting

Tuesday, November 28, 2017, 6-7pm
Sabba Park
48th Street and Queens Blvd, Woodside

There will be a blessing by Pastor Brian Dows from Queens of Angels Church (Catholic), hot cocoa, PS 150Q carolers (ecumenical), Sunnyside Drum Corps, candy canes, and visit from Santa, and holiday lights turned on. At 7pm there will be a $25 prix fixe dinner (included a glass of wine) at Dazies Restaurant (39-41 Queens Blvd). More information.

Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Annual Tree Lighting at 37th Avenue Post Office

Jackson Heights Post Office
37th Avenue and 78th Street, Jackson Heights

Saturday, December 9th the Jackson Heights Beautification Group will host its Annual Tree Lighting in front of the JH Post office. We will have an event for children to make ornaments prior to the tree lighting at 4pm. The tree lighting will start around 5pm. There will be signing and hot chocolate for all. More information.

Sunnyside (Past)

You can also stop by the tree in Sunnyside, which was lit on November 21. It’s by the Sunnyside Arch, 46th Street and Queens Boulevard.
