We are SO excited for this. The coolest 5k in the city, The Brew Hop, is back for its second year of running, craft beer, live music, local food vendors, and great vibes. Tickets are on sale now, and you can save 10% by using the reader-only code WHARUNS

What is The Brew Hop? It’s a 5K run/walk on Randall’s Island, followed by a beer and food festival with live music. Yes, an event that combines all of our favorite things: fitness, drinks, tunes, and killer eats! This year’s event is going down Saturday, October 21, with registration starting at 10am. The race begins at 12pm, with the beer festival rockin’ until 4pm.

To make this event event more awesome, a portion of the proceeds goes to a fantastic cause. This year, it’s Oceanic Global, an “organization that taps into universal passions of art, music and emerging tech to educate individuals on issues impacting our oceans and provide them with solutions for driving positive change.” Normally, large events like this produce a lot of waste. The Brew Hop is going 100% plastic free to support Oceanic Global’s mission of reducing single-use plastic consumption and oceanic pollution. How cool is that?

Team WHA before getting our racing (and drinking) on!

Your 5K registration fee includes the run, unlimited beers from all participating breweries for the duration of the festival, and access to the rest of the fun: local food vendors (Dom’s Mac Truck and Sweet Chili will be there!), live music, lawn games, etc. There is also an option to purchase festival-only tickets for those who aren’t interesting in the 5k portion (but it’s worth noting: no one will judge if you power-walk!) You can check out the event’s FAQ section for answers on any burning questions you may have.

So what breweries will be there? All of our favorites, including beloved neighborhood spots like Singlecut and Rockaway Brewing. Here’s the full list!
