APAC’s Christopher Stansfield got in touch with We Heart Astoria with a great deal for WHA readers. Here’s his message:

Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) is excited to share its production of Raisin, a musical adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry’s revolutionary A Raisin in the Sunco-written by the executor of her literary estate. This Best Musical Tony Award-winner hasn’t had a full production in NYC in over 35 years, and APAC wants to invite you to this strictly limited engagement!

Raisin runs from May 4-27 at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 30-44 Crescent Street at 30th Road in Astoria. Performances are Thursdays and Fridays at 8pm and Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm.

Tickets are $18 ($12 for students and seniors), and can be purchased here. But APAC is so excited to see you at the show that we are teaming up with We Heart Astoria to offer readers a special discount of $3 off adult tickets for all dates—just enter code WHA2017 at checkout to get your discount!

Also, We Heart Astoria is teaming with APAC to give away two tickets to see Raisin during its run, on dates of May 11-13, 18-20, and 25-27. To enter, answer the question, “If you received a life-changing amount of money, how would you spend it?”

We hope to see you in the audience of this magical show!

I would put most of it into savings, invest a portion of the remaining sum, and then put the rest towards charities and non-profit groups that I strongly support.

I would travel the world, buy a home, work for myself and fund an NGO.
