Changes Coming To Burnside Biscuits? Have you heard? 30th Avenue’s Southern restaurant Burnside Biscuits has recently relaunched: they’ve got a new chef, a new menu, new cocktails, and are rolling out new nightly events. They’ve recently named Queens native Jonathan Lemon their new head chef, and he’s completely overhauled the menu, sprinkling his family recipes into items like biscuits, fried chicken, and others. The new eats will be complemented by a new cocktail program, which will feature drinks like the Peanut Old Fashioned with Peanut & Maple Syrup Infused Bourbon (sounds intriguing!) and Tea Thyme with House-Infused Sweet Tea Vodka. Also, Burnside Biscuits has introduced new recurring events, including Chicken ‘N Waffles ‘N Champagne on Tuesdays, 1/3 of beer flights on Wednesdays, live music sets from jazzy pop songstress Cara Samantha on Thursdays, and weekend DJ sets. As weather gets warmer, the restaurant will add more than 75 outdoor seats to accommodate those who enjoy dining in the sunshine.
