Screening Movies on the Waterfront: How to Train your Dragon 

Come on down to the Waterfront this Monday at 8:30 p.m. to watch a beautiful screening of How to Train your Dragon with popcorn and all snacks you may need. The free event is held at Astoria Park Lawn in Queens more specifically Shore Boulevard between Hells Gate Bridge and the pool.

Storytelling Show

Come join your community at an open-mic story time event. Names will be picked out of a fishbowl and you will be invited to speak for five minutes and of course, if you are not one who would like to speak you can come join the audience and listen to the different stories.

How Cats Took Over The Internet at The Museum of the Moving Image

Big fan of Caturday? Miss the days of lolcats? Wonder how it all started? Stop on by The Museum of the Moving Image on Monday, August 12th at the video screening amphitheater and gallery for the answers to these questions.

Museum admission is $12 for adults, $9 for senior citizens and students (with valid ID), and $6 for children.

Tosh, a guitarist and composer, earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music in 1998. In 2004, he went on to earn his Masters in Jazz Performance from City College of New York. While at City College, Tosh studied with the world-renowned solo jazz guitarist Gene Bertoncini.
