If you’ve been following this blog for awhile, you know I’m all about the vegetarian food. So imagine my delight to find out Jujube Tree Vegan had opened! Here’s a first look at what we sampled at our maiden voyage to this Astoria Arrival.

In general Jujube Tree was quite tasty and definitely to our liking. You’ll find it’s similar to other vegan asian restaurants in the city (Wild Ginger, Red Bamboo). For now they do dine-in, takeout, and delivery and they’re open for both lunch and dinner. Happy eating, Astoria!

Ordered from hear last night. Exactly the same as my the Wild Ginger I used to frequent in Astoria. The food was all very good and not over-sauced. They delivered a real menu with our meal last night, so hopefully they’ll be up on seamless in no time.

So they have ONE dish that has whey in it?!?!? Why do that? Why not be real deal vegan instead of just vegetarian? Arggggg

So excited to try this place out. This is the type of restaurant Astoria has been badly missing. The menu and pictures look extremely similar to Wild Ginger in Williamsburg. It has to be the same owner right?
