It’s almost that time again—Cinco de Mayo! Remember, it’s not a Mexican Independence celebration, but about recognizing the Mexico’s victory over the French back in 1862. And appreciating Mexican pride, which takes the form of delicious food and drink here in America. Here’s how the holiday is celebrated right here in Astoria.

Bohemian Beer Garden

Head over there for drink specials, including fresh fruit margaritas and homemade sangria, buckets of beer, and some very tasty sounding food—tacos, pozole, chimichangas, and tres leches cake (I’m a sucker for tres lechese cake).
