With the weather looking up this week and Queens Beer Week in full mode, there’s no shortage of fun around town.

Queens-Beer-WeekIn terms of Queens Beer Week, virtually every restaurant and watering hole in the nabe is featuring something interesting. You can find the full list of activities on their website, but in terms of today you can drink up at the new Bowery Bay, Rest-au-Rant and Astoria Bier and Cheese.

queens-county-market-signIt’s been a while since the Queens County Market came to town, and its next event is scheduled for 5/4 at the Queens County Farm Museum. In addition to all the great, local food vendors, you can enjoy farm tours, hayrides and sheep shearing.  Oh and the kids will like it too ;) 73-50 Little Neck Parkway, Floral Park.

Famous Beer Garden GatesWho’s ready for Cinco de Mayo? It’s fun to see that people are starting to think about it, including the Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden, which will be celebrating it the weekend before (on May 3rd and 4th) with $6 sangria, $25 beer buckets, taco & burrito specials and live music!  Speaking of live music, check out this fun rendition of the classic Tetris song that was recently performed by a polka band at the Beer Garden.
