As most of you know, in addition to my duties here at WHA, I’m also the proud owner of Lockwood Shop on 33rd Street. And boy do I have big news for you…we’re partnering with Native Coffee Roasters to create a Secret Garden at the shop!

Starting Memorial Day weekend, Lockwood’s backyard will be transformed into The Secret Garden, filled with coffee drinks, vegan pastries, potted suculents, Robicelli’s cupcakes, and comfy outdoor furniture. Join us every Saturday & Sunday, 10am to 5pm, starting Saturday, May 24th, for a magical outdoor pop-up coffee shop. Come in early for an iced latte and croissant, or pop in mid-afternoon for an espresso and doughnut while you browse our curated selection of plants. In addition to tasty vegan pastries and cupcakes, we’ll be offering a rotating selection of treats from Dough, Baked and Balthazar! We’ll keep it eco-friendly with a large communal table made of recycled pallets and composable cups & utensils.

Throughout the summer we’ll be hosting classes & events (terrarium workshops! kid’s classes!) and our backyard space will be for rent for your next shower/party/wild afternoon of fun. We’ll be keeping you posted via our #secretgarden hashtag on Facebook and Twitter, so be sure to follow us there!

hey Rakesh! Thank you for the support. If you are a twitter user, follow either (or both!) myself and lockwood. One of us usually posts when the fresh bags are dropped off.

My wife and I are fans of your shop, and I’m specifically a great fan of the Native beans I’ve tried on several occasions. From what I can tell you guys get a freshly roasted batch twice a month. I’m interested in stopping in to buy them as close to their roast date as possible. Is there anyway we can get information on when newly roasted batches arrive at the shop?
