We have some exciting news that landed in our inbox today by way of the LIC Partnership newsletter, about the impending expansion of the Sage General Store.  The info is actually sourced from The LIC Post, as it send some great news of a big expansion for the Sage General Store in LIC.

Starting this weekend, Sage, the awesome cafe and general store rolled into one will be closing temporarily for an exciting expansion, which will bring forth a new bar and a full liquor license.  We’re looking forward to it being more of a hangout, rather just a place that you pop in for coffee or lunch during the day.

But that’s not all, Leslie Nilsson, Sage’s owner is also working on a sweet new project, which will entail opening up a brand new Macaron bakery, also in LIC.  Expected to be ready by August, J. Marquette, the name of this new bakery will mostly carry our beloved French confections in funky, inventive flavors such as bacon brownie, bourbon pecan, malted milk balls and more.  J. Marquette will be located at 12-07 Jackson Avenue.

We’re truly excited for these new changes to come to LIC and can’t wait to check out the new and improved Sage General Store as well as J. Marquette.  Thanks for the great info, LIC Post.
