You might think that Astoria is one of the quieter parts of the city that never sleeps, but there’s a suprising number of open all night, 24 hour businesses right here in our neighborhood. Wether you just need to cap off a night out or are tending to some unfortunate late-night sickness, Astoria’s got you covered.
5 Great Places in Astoria that are open 24 hours a day:
Monika’s Cafe Bar
I don’t know about you, but there’s something about being able to get a healthy salad and kombucha at any hour of the day (or night!) that makes my heart happy. In case you haven’t heard- Monika’s Cafe Bar is the latest cafe to go 24 hour (there’s also rumors that Omonia on Broadway is open day and night, but check first before you head out). Don’t want to head out at 2am? Don’t worry, they deliver their Mediterranean inspired cafe classics at any hour as well.
Rite Aid & CVS
We’ve all been there- a sick child, a sudden nighttime fever or other ailment and you’re scrambling to find a much needed 24 pharmacy in the middle of the night. Fear not- Rite Aid on 30th Ave. (store #1805) and CVS on Ditmars are both open 24 hours a day.

Tastee Corner
Looking for some classic diner fare mixed with Greek staples? Tastee’s got you covered. This 24 hour restaurant near the heart of Astoria has a little something for everyone. Looks like they deliver around the clock, too.
United Brothers Fruit Market
The granddaddy of all Astoria fruit & veggie stands, United Brothers is a massive, magical wonderland of produce that also happens to be open around the clock. Those with alternative or over night work schedules can rejoice at having a healthy shopping option waiting for them anytime of day.

Neptune Diner
It wouldn’t be right to do an all-nite round up of Astoria without including this classic diner. While the food isn’t gourmet by any means, you will find solid diner classics being served night and day here. Head over late enough and you’ll find they have bouncers who work the door and keep the masses in line. A sight to behold, indeed.
Astoria, we want to hear from you! What 24 hour businesses did we forget? Where do you get your 4am nosh on? Leave us a comment, we can’t wait to hear what you have to say. Editor’s Note: Based on the comments below, I’d be remiss not to mention Sanford’s on Broadway. I’m certainly aware of their charm, and now thanks to our awesome readers I know they’re part of the 24/7 community in Astoria. Thanks readers, you rock!

Omonia cafe is as well
Tasty’s Diner on Ditmars, too!
Mike’s Diner on 31st near Ditmars is another great 24/7 diner. If anyone needs a true grocery store and not a deli for late-night shopping, Trade Fair is always open, on Ditmars and 37th St, and these other locations nearby: http://208.109.91.138/web/locations.aspx
I didn’t realize they were open 24/7. Good to know, thanks!
This is another reason I love Astoria. I was in Portland last week and it was a ghost town… by 9:30!
Sanfords, on Broadway and 31st street, is also 24 hours. I love their brunch and it is nice to know I can stop by during late hours as well!
Sanford’s on Broadway, too?
thirding the love of Sanford’s! Much better food than gross Neptune or Tastee Corner!
Duane Reade on 30th Ave. and Trade Fairs are open 24 hours also.
