In addition, get exited for guest speaker Dr. Joan Gussow, who has been called the “matriarch of the eat-locally-think-globally food movement,” by The New York Times. Guests will enjoy local beer and wine, and be invited to meet the farmers behind the Grange’s urban farming initiative and take tours of the farm. Tickets are $150 each, and can be purchased here. The idea of food co-op is wonderful. I am vegan, and I am wishing to be free that day so that I can attend.

Michele, I totally get it! I’ve been veg for 21 years and I try and eat as vegan as possible and practice compassion for every living being. That being said, I’d love to have a food co-op, so posting events that might help them also fits my values.
