in Astoria, Brunch, Weekend

Y’all it’s already March. Let that sink in for a second. Now that we’re all up to speed, let’s kick off March in true WHA style.

This weekend it’s all about 23rd Avenue! Here’s some of the best happenings:

  • Rejuvenate Face and Body (26-17 23rd Ave.) is fully stocked with new arrivals. Pick up a bottle of their decadent Rosehip Oil; I can attest to the perfection of this exlixr. A few drops will transform your skin!
  • Saturday bring your little ones to Baby Noir’s ‘Peach Blossom Fesitival’ where they’ll be celebrating the promise of spring. More details on our family friendly WTDTW post. (26-16 23rd Ave.)
  • The big day is finally here for Raising Astoria (26-11 23rd Ave.). The family friendly shop will stock slightly used and new maternity, baby clothes and kids toys. Saturday they open the doors to the public with a fun party. Look for goodie bags, playtime in their Lillypad Learning Lap and lots of fun. It’s from 4-7pm.
  • Gym-amazing (27-14 23rd Ave.) is hosting kid’s Capoeira on Sunday complete with lessons, music time and a free gift bag! More info here.

Last week as asked where your favorite brunch spots were, and boy did you all chime in for Queens Comfort (40-09 30th Ave.) in the comments section! Celebrate this crowd favorite’s one year anniversary Sunday, from 10-5 with a dj and special menu.

Don’t forget: this is the last weekend to visit Museum of the Moving Image’s ‘Jim Henson’s Fantastic World’. Bid adeiu to all your favorite muppet friends as this traveling exhibition leaves us for a new temporary home. MoMI will be extending their hours Saturday & Sunday until 8pm. No excuses, friends.

And though not happening this weekend, I’ll leave you with this tasty bit of gossip to chew on. Happy weekend everyone!
