OK, get ready, Astorians… the first We Heart Astoria tweet chat is happening on Saturday, February 25, at 11:00 am. Join us that morning with a cup of coffee, tea, or kombucha in hand and dish about the neighborhood for about an hour. We want your gossip, gripes, observations, and whatever else is on your mind when it comes to our little part of Queens.
So what is a tweet chat? Well, it’s a conversation that takes place over twitter, focused on a specific topic – in our case, that would be Astoria (and LIC by extension). It will take place on the TweetChat website. Just head on over there when the chat is scheduled to start, and insert the correct hashtag in the “Enter hashtag” field:
The hashtag we’ll be using that day is #WHAchat. @weheartastoria will be hosting (follow us if you aren’t yet!).
You’ll also be asked to sign in with your twitter credentials in order to participate.
TweetChat will insert the #WHAchat hashtag at the end of each comment you contribute to the chat, and each comment you contribute will be posted to your twitter feed as well. And since the hashtag will be on each tweet, you can go back and re-read what transpired during the conversation, by following that hashtag.
