Art House Astoria, a conservatory for music and art, is holding their first annual fundraiser gala on Monday, March 28.  Festivities will last from 6-10pm.

There will be all sorts of performances during the gala, including:

  • Leslie Carrara-Rudolph (The voice of Abby Caddaby on Sesame Street)
  • Jeremiah James (Teatro, Carousel (West End))
  • Megan Reinking (Hair, Lestat, Dracula, Boardwalk Empire (HBO))
  • Nick Blaemire (Altar Boyz, Crybaby, The Black Suits, composer of Broadway Show Glory Days)

The event will be hosted by actor Laura Ware and will feature music by Rob Rokicki, Jeff Thomson and Ryan Scott Oliver.

Everything takes place at The Aurora Gallery (35-18 37th St), which is a really cool space.  It started out as a graffiti artist gallery, and some of the most renowned as well as up-and-coming graffiti artists around the world have chosen this venue for their work.  These days, artists of all types come to the Aurora Gallery to show their creations – painters, dancers, videographers, musicians and everything in between.

Tickets are $25-35 and can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets.

Additionally, there will be a silent auction. Watch this space for more information.
