We’re looking at a really nice weekend in the low 80′s, which makes it oh so pleasant and we might not even have to turn on the A/C. Can you imagine? Take advantage of the Noguchi Museum’s “First Fridays” program where admission is free, hours are extended and you can sip on a stiff drink (wine or beer) in their relaxing rock garden. Saturday:
The 8th Annual NYC Musical Saw Festival is going on at 2 p.m. at the Hellenic Cultural Center. With over 30 saw players from all over the world (from as far as Japan and as near as Queens), this will be an afternoon of interesting, unusual and certainly unforgettable musical performances. Sunday:
Get ready for the 2nd Astoria Water Walk, where Shore Blvd is car-free and full of wonderful activities. This week’s focus is on one of our favorite things, food, with a watermelon eating contest, a Queens Harvest Food Co-Op Salad throw-down, tastings from Seva, Astor Bake Shop, Bistro 33 and so much more. 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Look for more info on their Facebook page.
