Live at the Gantries is proving to be a great summer series. Tomorrow, Tuesday June 29, features PASS KONTROL, a Queens-based art collective for an evening of collaborative rock and roll.  Here’s more from the press release.

PASS KONTROL is more than just a four piece rock and roll band. Performing for the first time from the East River oasis of Gantry Plaza State Park, this Queens-based art collective seeks to connect and collaborate with people, create and support community, dance, and most of all, have a good time.

In February 2010 PASS KONTROL put up a 10 show run at the Bushwick Starr, of their original play “New Hope City”, which received rave reviews from The Village Voice, The L Magazine, NYTheatre.com, and Bushwickbk.com.

The Live at the Gantries series is produced by The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, Queens Theatre in the Park and Queens Council on the Arts. It is sponsored by TF Cornerstone, Rockrose Development Corp. with additional support from State Assemblywoman Catherine Nolan, City Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer, L Haus, O’Connor Capital Partners and Con Edison.
