With today’s weather being so gorgeous, we thought it appropriate to share with you some of our favorite outdoor dining spots in Astoria.  So whether you’re in the mood for something intimate or something grand, here are a few options that will satisfy all your fresh air needs.

718 Restaurant – This cool Frenchie spot on Ditmars has a nice atmosphere and lovely outdoor seating that snakes around the corner of the restaurant.  You can also sit semi-inside, semi-outside if you position yourself right by the open window.  We highly recommend getting the tarte flambees, they’re delicious.  35-01 Ditmars Blvd, Astoria.  718.204.5553

Grand Cafe – Famous for their brunch, Grand Cafe has plenty of outdoor seating with nifty umbrellas to shield you from the hot sun.  I love to enjoy a casual meal here, especially because the chairs are comfortable and the atmosphere is social – it’s also great for people watching.  37-01 30th Avenue, Astoria.  718.777.7321

Ovelia – Another cool place to be seen, Ovelia offers a stylish outdoor atmosphere and wonderful food and drinks to boot.  If you want to enjoy the breeze but still be inside, we suggest sitting by the bar, which faces a huge garage-style window that’s open on nice days.  34-01 30th Avenue, Astoria.  718.721.7217

Studio Square – This is kind of a no-brainer, we know, but it’s still a lot of fun on a warm day like today.  It’s especially conducive to large crowds so if you’re going out with a group–we suggest popping in, grabbing a picnic table and staying the night.  You won’t get a livelier atmosphere than this! 35-33 36th Street, Astoria.  718.383.1001

Il Bambino – The total opposite of Studio Square, this place is a lot more laid back and casual – and it boasts a backyard garden.  It’s very cute, quaint and a perfect place to enjoy a delicious panini and a glass of wine.  Mmmm… 34-08 31st Avenue, Astoria. 718.626.0087

Joan – cool tip about Mojave – I’ve never been to their outdoor garden.

man, Il Bambino’s backyard is a revelation. It is adorable, comfy, I love the view of rooftops and trees above. Everything. and of course it is delicious.

Mojave’s outdoor garden looks and feels like Sante Fe!
