Queens Harvest Food Co-op at Queens Green Drinks

Queens Green Drinks is back for their 2010 season! And to kick of their new season, QGD will be hosted in April by the Queens Harvest Food Co-op. The event will take place slightly out of our area, at Claret, a lovely wine bar in neighboring Sunnyside. Now, what the heck is the Queens Harvest Food Co-op? From the event invitation:

The Queens Harvest Food Co-op is a new community driven venture into the world of fresh, high-quality food at affordable prices. They will be a member-owned and controlled market that puts community before profits. Anticipated opening in the Queens Plaza area in 2011. Please come and meet the members of the Queens Harvest Food Co-op on April 26th at Claret and/or go to the Queens Harvest Food Co-op website for more information!

More about Queens Green Drinks:

Very simply, it’s an informal social gathering/networking event for folks that are environmentally minded. Come and we’ll introduce you to some of the other like minded folks in and around Queens. If we’re lucky (which is likely) we’ll cross pollinate, make new friends, catch up with old ones, and maybe even sprout an idea or three.

We have a different host each month selecting the venue of their choice. If you are interested in helping to get the word out, if you have suggestions for hosts, or if you’d like to donate your skills in building a website please let me know at queensgreendrinks@gmail.com.

Feel free to RSVP on Facebook.
