While Bare Burger is certainly no secret in Astoria food circles, I’d be remiss if I didn’t share my love for them here, too. As a long-time vegetarian, I’m always on the look out for great places I can find satisfying and healthy veggie meals, and Bare Burger totally fits the bill. Serving up all organic burgers, fries, salads, and shakes, BB is the kind of American style food you can feel good about. Filled with lots of mix-and-match style ordering choices, BB will please just about every picky food eater. While not exactly the healthier side of Bare Burger, don’t miss their thick, rich and beyond amazing shakes. My personal favorite is the chocolate, with real chunks of the stuff floating in a sea of ice cream goodness. I hear the pistachio is also well worth the calories.

And it isn’t just the food that keeps me going back to this Astoria gem. I’ve long followed the work of artist Jennifer Khoshbin, who works in one of my favorite medias, decoupage and 3D work. Her amazing Animal Heads can be seen gracing the walls at Bare Burger along side eco friendly lighting, graphic wallpaper, cork tiles, freshly painted French metal chairs,  and other interesting decorating choices.  For those looking to take a little decorating inspiration, you can buy Jen’s work here on her Etsy site.
